Global Media: Artificial Intelligence

Global media has experienced significant changes due to artificial intelligence (AI), which has an impact on audience engagement, advertising, distribution, and content production. The following are some significant areas that AI has affected:
AI has had a profound impact on celebrities worldwide, both positively and negatively. While AI enhances content creation, marketing, and fan engagement, it also enables deepfake scams, misinformation, and ethical concerns regarding digital rights.
Steve Harvey: Victim of a false AI- generated death hoax that spread online. He has since advocated for AI regulations and partnered with an AI protection service. Just last year celebrities like Taylor Swift, and Joe Rogan were victims of AI.
“I prided myself on my brand being one of authenticity, and people know that, and so they take the fact that I’m known and trusted as an authentic person, pretty sincere,” Harvey told CNN in an interview at Tyler Perry Studios between filming episodes of “Family Feud.” “My concern now is the people that it affects. I don’t want fans of mine or people who aren’t fans to be hurt by something.”
AI is quickly changing worldwide, improving efficiency, decision-making, and innovation while also introducing job displacement, ethical concerns, and cybersecurity risks. AI has helped businesses analyze data and make faster accurate decisions. It has had an impact on strategic planning as well as introducing biases in decision-making.
What will AI do in the future?
AI will keep changing businesses, everyday life, and the world economy by making automation better, helping people make better decisions, and building new ways for people to interact digitally. In the near future, AI is expected to fully automate many jobs, particularly in industries like healthcare, transport, and customer service. Robotic surgeries, self-driving cars, and customer service driven by AI will become normal, making things more efficient but also putting people out of work. AI will also improve entertainment and education by creating personalized learning experiences and movies, music, and even virtual influences that look and sound very real. AI has become a major part of social media and messaging apps like Snapchat and platforms like ChatGPT, enhancing user experience while also raising concerns about privacy, misinformation, and AI-generated content. AI can be accessed on any platform that you open on a phone or computer and is completely changing how people communicate and complete tasks. People can now use AI to write emails, resumes, and even put together an important text they are wanting to send to someone. AI is also having a great impact on education no matter the level. Students of any age, as long as they have access to an electronic device, can use AI to complete their schoolwork. AI for schoolwork is used in many forms such as Google homework lense, ChatGPT, snapchat AI (chat and picture) and many other apps and websites. Students can simply ask AI a question or send it a picture of their work and within a minute they will have every answer they need without putting any of their own thought or opinion into it. There are now programs that can be used to detect AI but that is not stopping any student from still using because there are so many ways to change it to not get detected. AI is very helpful and beneficial but it is changing how people communicate with each other and how good of an education students are truly getting.
In Conclusion:
AI has significantly impacted business, media, and everyday technology, revolutionizing industries while also showing new risks. In business, AI-driven automation and data analytics have improved efficiency but also raised concerns about job displacement and ethical decision-making. The rise of deepfake scams, such as those misusing celebrity likenesses like Steve Harvey, shows AI’s potential for fraud and misinformation, making it harder to trust digital content. Looking ahead, AI will continue to reshape the workforce, healthcare, and education, requiring strong regulations to balance innovation with security. Meanwhile, AI-powered assistants on smartphones, like Siri, Google Assistant, and ChatGPT, have made information instantly accessible, changing how people learn, work, and communicate. As AI continues to evolve, its impact on society will depend on how responsibly it is developed and used.
